Who we are…

UKEfoundation is a family-founded nonprofit created in response to the war and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

While the foundation itself is new, our journey of social and Christian service began in 1993 and spans more than 33 years.

We became co-founders of major humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine, including the Pilgrim Republic rehabilitation center in Mariupol, working alongside churches and nonprofit organizations for decades.

War & Our Choice

Russia’s war against Ukraine reshaped our lives. Our guiding principle remains unchanged:

We care for those who care for people.

Mariupol was 100,000+

Civilian Deaths

Evacuation

Mariupol. Evacuation. Lives Saved.

After the full-scale invasion in 2022, by supporting Askold Kvyatkovskiy and the United Team Foundation, in partnership with the Mariupol Chaplain Battalion, we took part in evacuation efforts that saved over 7,000 lives.

We continue evacuating small groups; however, we focus our efforts on children from Mariupol suffering from war trauma and PTSD.

15 recovery camps all across Europe. This has helped more than 650 children. Psychologists and spiritual mentors created safe spaces for healing and hope.

Over the course of 15 children’s camps across Europe, we did not receive funding from governments, major sponsors, large donors, or grant programs.

This work was made possible through hundreds of small, faithful contributions and through the relationships and partnerships God entrusted to us across Europe.

UKEfoundation supports the leadership of our team and our partner foundation, led by Askold Kvyatkovskiy, who works directly with our friends and partners across Europe.

After Occupation & Recovery Camps

Our Dream

When the war ends, our work will not end. Our vision is to build a permanent recovery camp in Ukraine and continue restoring lives and the future of the country.
